Naturally, since becoming engaged I have been looking up wedding blogs, wedding photos, wedding this, that, and the other thing… I was NOT that little girl growing up planning their wedding. I didn’t even ever think I WANTED to get married until I met Zack… So at this point I need ALL the help I can get. :P
There seems to be a common theme among so many weddings…. HIDEOUS. GOD AWFUL. WHY WOULD YOU EVER DO THAT TO SOMEONE, bridesmaid dresses.
What is this all about? I just don’t get it. I know everyone has their own taste… But, looking at some wedding party photos, I find it hard to believe that anyone can like some of these things….
Zack said his theory is that some brides don’t want their bridesmaids to look better than them… I find it hard to believe there are that many insecure women that bridal stores are now making so many tacky ones… When I was in David’s bridal, shopping for my dress – I meandered over to look at the bridesmaid dresses. So many poofy, orange, AHH. scary things… (Some adorable ones too, don’t get me wrong) & It’s weird because when I go to any nice department store, while I may not like a good portion of the things sold, most of them aren’t painful to the eye.

On another note of Bridesmaid dresses…. I know I always hear bridesmaids making comments how much they spend on their dress to be a part of the wedding party. This seems so, I don’t know.. I don’t want to say rude, but I just feel bad being like “oh hey be a part of my wedding and spend 100-200 bux.” I know most people do that, but still… But then that’s also a lot of extra money. (Same thing would apply for groomsmen. Though, much easier, THEY GET TO RENT. jerks) But that all adds up quick. heh…
